I judge a guitar solely on the quality of the deburring of the fretboard. I should not feel scratches sliding up and down it. Even if cheap pickups. As long as the cable doesn't fall out. The guitar is playable as far I'm concerned. Nicely done work. :)

Why don't you use your router jig to remove the truss rod filler. Save you heaps of time ?

Beautiful work 👏! I'm guessing that replacement necks are difficult to obtain in some areas of the world. Here it n the US, most wouldn't pay to have this level of artistry performed on a MIJ Fender bass - though they are excellent instruments.

Why fix it ? It sounds great, I'd love a smashed up guitar to play like that, you'll ruin it with your restoration.

I know nothing about guitar repairs but, with all the patching that's being done! Won't that really change the sound somewhat..! Hood job though

Assuming I take good care of my instrument, how long can a fender jazz bass last before a major repair like this is needed?

I didn't see any measurement of the neck angle to the bridge after re-attaching the head stock. Removing the neck and then re-attaching it and then the bridge, how do you know what kind of string action there will be when finished? Otherwise amazing amount of work and effort! Cheers
